Turning Seven

I love this picture! It was Picasso's seventh birthday this month and this photo captures the essence of what he wanted his day to be like. (Honestly, he'd like every day to be this way.) It was a school day, but when he got home, he had only two requests - a play date with his best friend, and a cherry cake with sprinkles. We ate the cake before dinner so she could have a piece too. Why not? You only turn seven once!

We love our Picasso so much! I can hardly believe that he is seven. It seems like only last week that I was rocking him in my arms. Now he can beat me in a bike race down the road!

Here are a few things that we love about him:

• He's a great student and loves to read and learn. He teaches us all sorts of things.
• He likes to be outdoors and helps a ton with our garden.
• He keeps life exciting by writing stories for us, playing fun games, and making us laugh.
• He enjoys music and sings and writes songs to perform for us.
• He's an awesome big brother to his sister and little brothers. He helps a lot with Miss Wendy.
  
• He loves to draw, paint, and make "stuff".
• He's a hard worker and is learning to be responsible for doing his own chores.
• He's a good friend and a wonderful son.
